Believe it or not there is actually a science to success.  From personality traits to formed habits, right down to knowing exactly what to do and what not to do.  But if you weren't good at science class in school, don't worry! It's not that hard, and it usually has nothing to do with what you've learned in traditional education. Success is a mystery to many, and even to some--seemingly impossible, but it doesn't have to be for you.

So what is success?  To read more about that question, read my other blog post HERE.  What is left after you're gone?  What is the richness of your relationships?  What happens when your money is gone?  These are all good questions, and I can tell you right now: When a successful person is gone, they leave a legacy. A successful person has meaningful connections with friends and family.  And when a successful person's money is gone, they make it come back again... because they've learned the science of success!

Knowledge Is The Key to Success

Lots of people try to 'know themselves' through Psychometric Tests and Personality Tests. These are great, but the fact is most of them are pretty outdated and kind of boring to read... that's my opinion anyways. I've ran into one though, that's incredible, and I'll share it with you shortly. Typology tests try to map your personality and tell you who you are and how you react with different people and situations. They try to tell you how to create success. You can read about three major personality tests or psychometric tests here. So what is success?

Success can be defined in many ways. Some define success as how much money you have in the bank. But that's really a shallow definition. It's always nice to have money in the bank, but money is temporary, and it can fly away just as well as any bird can. Some define success as your relationships and your ability to love and have peace, and all that good stuff, which I think is a beautiful definition. The Bible says if a man gains the whole world, but doesn't have love, he's gained nothing and he is in fact... nothing. There is another definition of being successful. That is: what are you left with when the money is gone? Can you make it back? This definition is directly connected to your knowledge... what do you know? Financial education is one thing most of us don't learn a lot about, especially in traditional schooling. And it is so so so so soooo important! If you want to be able to make any sort of financial success, it's a great idea for you to have financial education. It is one thing I have taken it upon myself to learn more about as an entrepreneur.

And thanks to God, I have been introduced to something even more important than just having financial knowledge... flow. What's flow? Flow is what you personally do well and actually enjoy doing. For me, I instinctively knew this as a child, but it was slowly choked out of me, as I was educated, as I got trapped in the rat-race (non-professional rat race at that), and the more I saw how hard things seemed to be to actually 'get in'. In fact, I actually thought something might be wrong with me, with how I saw things and thought about things; How I could think of really great ideas, but never be able to implement them, and how I so easily got bored with doing the same thing day in and day out, and was so easily overcome by fellow coworkers. With five years of working dead end jobs, I had lost myself. To make a long story short, God took me from Grants Pass, OR, to Ubud, Bali.
